Two drug suspects fall

-
Two men suspected of selling illegal drugs were arrested in barangays Pasil and Labangon while two gambling machines were confiscated in barangay Calamba during a police saturation drive in the city from Saturday afternoon until yesterday dawn.

Teams from the Cebu City Police Office Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Branch and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-7 arrested 46-year-old Alex Abellar for selling illegal drugs to a poseur- buyer in barangay Labangon last Saturday.

The policemen were tipped off first about Abellar's drug pushing activities along Katipunan Street in Labangon that afternoon, prompting them to set up a buy-bust operation.

PO3 Cesar Pandong and the poseur-buyer, a police asset, used two P500 bills, as marked money, and when Abellar handed to them five plastic packs of suspected shabu, the police teams quickly arrested the suspect.

Abellar is now detained at the CCPO stockade pending the filing of charges against him.

CIIB operatives, led by Supt. Paul Labra, that same afternoon also seized a video karera machine and a moli-moli slot machine in barangay Calamba, following a complaint from a resident about the illegal gambling machines in the place.

Policemen however said no one was arrested in the raid because the bettors quickly scampered even before they arrived.

Yesterday dawn, the CIIB policemen combed through the interiors of sitio Lawin in barangay Pasil where they saw and arrested Harold Dakay for alleged possession of a small pack of shabu.
