Responding policemen took the body, which has a gunshot wound in the nape, to the Talisay City District Hospital but the doctor declared it already dead.
Talisay City Police homicide investigator, PO2 Joel Rosales, said the fatality was only known as a certain Stephen who was between 28 and 34 years old, about 5'2" to 5'4" tall, and reportedly a resident of Camella Homes in barangay Lawaan II, Talisay City.
Desk officer SPO3 Cleofas Bunjoc added yesterday that "Stephen" was apparently an Akrho member based on the group's distinctive marking in the right wrist of the victim.
"Nahibaw-an ni siyang Akrho member tungod sa iyang paso sa tuong bahin sa iyang kamot kay mao man ni ilang timailhan," Bunjoc said.
He said investigators have theorized that the killer might be member of Akrho's rival group, Tau Gamma Phi also known as the Trihedron, based on the group's bull cap that was recovered from the crime scene.
The victim's body is now at the Saint Francis Funeral Homes along N. Bacalso Avenue in Cebu City, and is set for an autopsy.
Bunjoc said the killing might be a fraternity-related case, and investigators have been working for the identity of the killer.
The shooting was the second this month, the first one of which was the other week when two Akrho members were shot at barangay Tabunok with the suspect also believed to be a Trihedron member.
