Two juveniles attack pupils

Two 11-year-old juveniles sustained stab wounds when they were assaulted by two other juveniles in sitio Kaimito in barangay Guadalupe the other night.
Police said Francis Sudario a resident of sitio Kalubihan in barangay Marigondon, Lapu-Lapu City and his companion Judy Statuita, a grade IV pupil of Banawa Elementary School, were strolling that evening when attacked by a boy and a girl.
The boy struck Statuita in the face and before Statuita could react, the other assailant whipped out a knife and stabbed the two juveniles, hitting Statuita in the head while Sudario sustained a wound in the stomach, police said.
The victims were taken to hospital while the attackers left the crime scene before the police arrived.
Cuyos said the incident could have been a case of mistaken identity or that it was just another case of mugging. - Edwin Ian Melecio
