The operatives of the Provincial Environment and Natural Resouces Office, together with the members of the Centennial Force confiscated the other day 14 pieces of prime wood of the Mancono specie, also known as Iron wood at the Cabahug wharf in Looc, Mandaue City.
PENRO chief Teoderico Barral told TV patrol Cebu that the Mancono were deliberately cut into table size and were made to float in the waters at the wharf. No one claimed ownership of the premium wood pieces, estimated to be 828.21 board feet worth P115,949.40.
"Ang atong susihon diri ang taga Cabahug wharf ug ubang agency like PNP Maritime office ngano wala sila makabantay nga dunay gipang-diskarga diha nga Mancono," Barral said.
