Manalili St. to be partly closed for night market

-
Some parts of Manalili Street will be temporarily closed to traffic as the city will hold a night market this week.

Cebu City Councilor Procopio Fernandez, chairman of the committee on police and public safety, said the Manalili Night Market will be under the supervision of the city-assisted United Multi-Sectoral Coordinating Council.

Fernandez said stall owners and traders will be allowed to display their wares and items from 5:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

To allow this, Manalili Street will be closed from the corner of Magallanes Street up to the corner of J. Leyson Street on December 21 to 24 and December 28 to 30.

Cebu City Traffic Group Chief Jonathan Abella said the appropriate traffic rerouting plan is already being prepared. He also assured that obstructions will be removed immediately after the holding of the activity.

Abella said they have also identified parking areas for the night market customers. These are in Leon Kilat Street, from Magallanes Street to Colon Street, and Plaridel Street, from Osmeña Boulevard to Magallanes Street. - Garry B. Lao
