Man gunned down in barangay Tejero

A man believed to be involved in the illegal drug trade in sitio Villagonzalo 2 in barangay Tejero was shot dead by an unidentified person while walking at the corner of Alviola and Borelos streets yesterday morning.

The Homicide Section of the Cebu City Police Office identified the victim as Lemuel Ermac, alias Nognog, 39, a resident of the place. His assailant was seen barefoot and was described to be in his early 30s, 5'2 in height and wearing short pants.

Janet Serevilla, Ermac's live-in partner, said the victim told her that he was going to the interior part of the sitio but did not say what he was going to do there. Few minutes later, neighbors informed her that Ermac was shot in the area.

Police said for unknown reason, the gunman waylaid Ermac and shot him with an undetermined caliber of firearm. The victim was hit in different parts of his body.

Police investigators led by SPO2 Jay Yballe of the Homicide Section did not recover any empty shells at the crime scene although responding elements from the Mobile Patrol Group, however, found a pack of shabu near the victim's body.
