4 hurt in different acts of violence in Cebu City

Four men were hurt in four separate violent incidents last Friday afternoon until yesterday dawn here in the city.
In sitio Mawmawan, barangay Babag, a funeral procession was interrupted after one of the mourners was shot by a man for no apparent reason.
Police identified the victim as Jose Ababon, 37, a resident of sitio Guila-guila, barangay Bonbon, Cebu City, who suffered a gunshot wound in the left side of the face after suspect Armando Lastimosa, 29, shot him with a .22 cal. revolver.
Police could not ascertain the motive yet as they are still conducting an investigation into the incident.
The suspect tried to escape but the angry mourners and some residents in the area mobbed him and started beating him with anything they could get their hands on.
He was brought to the Cebu City Medical Center for treatment while Ababon was rushed to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center. In another incident, a 60-year-old scrap metal canvasser was shot by his son-in-law while he was having an argument with their neighbor Friday evening.
Atilano Abendan, was just telling the suspect, Danilo Dignos, 40, to cool down and stop arguing with their neighbor Marcelo Sabal. Police said that Sabal was making noise at that time and made the suspect angry, resulting in their argument.
But instead of heeding to his father-in-law's advise, the suspect shot him in the left arm and fled, the victim was brought by other relatives to CCMC for treatment.
Another shooting incident occurred inside the Pasil Fish Market in barangay Pasil after a man wielding a bolo was shot in the back by an unidentified man yesterday dawn.
Homicide investigators identified the victim as Rogelio Sabalde, 32, a shellcraft worker and a resident of Sawang-Calero was shot by unidentified man.
Prior to the shooting,the victim was seen begging for fish from fish vendors and might have irked the suspect who then drove him away.
Minutes later, the victim reportedly came back already armed with a bolo and angrily asked people about the man who drove him away when he was shot from behind.
The bullet entered through his back and exited from his neck, concerned citizens brought him to CCMC while the assailant, who is believed to be a fish vendor, quickly fled the area.
Meanwhile, a 17-year-old high school student identified as Jian Carlo Emus, a resident of Saint Michael Village in Banilad was mauled and stabbed by a three young men who accused him being a member of the Alpha Kappa Rho fraternity yesterday dawn.
The victim was with his friends and were about to go home when one of the suspects approached him uttered "membro ka og Akrho bay," then started punching him several times.
Emus retaliated by putting up a fight but the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the back before fleeing the area. It was the victim's friends who brought him to the hospital.
