In developing young emerging leaders, the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. will launch today the Young Minds Academy, a youth development and citizenship program.
Young Minds is an experiential and team-based approach constituted in a semi-structured learning environment, this according to a press statement released to The FREEMAN.
It is a scholarship provided by RAFI open on annual enrollment basis to all youth ages 12 to 30 years old who are interested and committed to be equipped to serve the community in various areas of social development.
The scholarships will be granted on a team basis with five members in each team per category. The categories include Generation III: 12-16 years old, Generation II: 17-20 years old, and Generation I: 21-30 years old.
Interested candidates will undergo the process of enrollment, screening and panel interview before they will be admitted to the academy and awarded with the scholarship.
The Ramon Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. is a social development non-profit organization based in the Philippines and founded in 1966. It has been engaged in the field of citizenship training since its early beginnings. In its 40 years of existence, the foundation has replicated itself and produced institutions and individuals serving the needs of their respective constituencies and leading efforts in addressing social challenges.
While the approach and strategies varied and evolved through the years, the foundation's central focus remains targeted on "transforming human capital towards national development and global citizenship." - Jasmin R. Uy
