September 13, 2006 | 12:00am
Power interruptions will affect some portions of Cebu City and Mandaue City this Friday.
The Visayan Electric Company explained the scheduled interruptions are needed for the replacement of rotten poles and various line works to improve the service of the power utility.
From 8 a.m. to noontime, portions of North Town Homes in barangay Cabancalan, Mandaue City, particularly Kixia Street, a portion of Champaca Street, and portions of Michelia and Caryota streets will have no electricity as VECO linemen will replace two rotten poles in the area.
For the same period, pole and line relocation in barangay Lahug will affect Sanson Road, including Life Church, Fisherman's Net, Seafoods Ocean Garden, Mehitabel and Cebu United Investors.
VECO said that these interruptions are needed to improve their facilities in the areas mentioned and to further augment their services to their valued customers.
It added that their engineers will do their best to shorten the scheduled time. - Wenna A. Berondo/MEEV
