SPO1 Desiderio Mendaros of the Homicide Section said a certain Rosalinda Haganas reported seeing a young couple going to the interior portion of the cemetery before the trash bag was found.
Haganas said the couple, whom she described as fair-skinned and in their 20s, were carrying a red bag which looked like it contained something heavy.
What caught Haganas' attention was the way the woman walked. She told police that the woman looked like she just gave birth.
"Nagkaang-kaang og lakaw," she told policemen
Out of curiosity, Haganas stealthily followed the couple and saw them light a candle near the big cross and pray before they left. Haganas said the woman was crying by that time and the bag they were bringing appeared lighter than before.
Moments later, some children who were playing at the said cemetery, came shouting and told her about a garbage bag they found that contained a fetus.
Mendaros said that the fetus did not appear to have wounds associated with abortion or forced removal from the mother's womb.
But police also said the fetus might have been aborted by way of excessive medicine intake or an abortificant. - Edwin Ian Melecio
