Woman claims physical abuse by live-in partner

A woman reported to have been physically abused by her live-in partner sought assistance from the Pardo Police Station with her neighbors, who rescued her when he beat her up Sunday night.

However, the suspect, Gaudencio Nilo Juezan III, 42, was not at their house in Bulacao when police tried to arrest him.

The 22-year-old victim alleged that while she was standing outside the gate of their house, the suspect arrived and, without warning, grabbed her hair and forcibly dragged her toward their bedroom.

Inside the room, the suspect reportedly banged her head against the wall several times, leaving her dizzy. Not contented, the suspect allegedly choked her and punched her back several times.

The victim suffered several contusions to her face and different parts of her body.

PO2 Edmon Tiempo told The FREEMAN that the victim shouted for help during the incident, prompting neighbors to rescue her and bring her to the police station. She was then advised to refer her case to the Women's Desk for further investigation, including the filing of possible charges against the suspect.
