Injured in bus, tricycle

At least four people, including an elderly woman, were injured when a tricycle they were riding collided with a passenger bus along the national highway in barangay Bachawan, Daan Bantayan town Thursday evening.

Segunda Potot, 68, Richard Geolan, 33, and Luz Casas, 55, all of barangay Bachawan are presently confined at a private hospital in Cebu City after sustaining injuries in different parts of their bodies. The fourth victim, Ronnie Optana, 23, of barangay Poblacion, sustained only a minor injury.

A police report said the victims were riding the tricycle driven by Optana when it collided with a D' Rough Riders bus driven by Ruben Armenton, of barangay Lamentac Sur, Medellin town.

Initial investigation conducted by PO1 Ryan Castro of the Medellin police disclosed that D' Rough Riders bus was traveling from Bogo town.

Upon reaching barangay Bachawan, Armenton allegedly lost control of the vehicle that resulted to the incident. There was no report of any injury from among the bus passengers.
