Napolcom-7 nixes idea of cops learning Korean

National Police Commission-7 assistant director Homer Cabaral is not amenable to the idea that policemen here n Central Visayas hould learn the Korean language.

Cabaral's opinion came after Department of Interior and Local Government undersecretary Lito Ruiz suggested that policemen here should learn Korean so that they can immediately solve increasing crimes involving Korean nationals.

Cabaral said that there is no need for policemen to learn Korean as they usually come out with the results of investigations immediately.

Besides, Cabaral admitted that most policemen even have a hard time speaking English, now others want them to learn another new language entirely. - Flor Z. Perolina
