2 men accused of rape caught

Madridejos police arrested two men after they were accused of raping a 21-year-old woman in sitio Kaguangan, barangay Tarong, Madridejos town, last Thursday evening.
Police identified the suspects as Oliver Sala, 23 and Ramson Codilla, 21, both of barangay Tarong.
The victim's mother said she saw the two taking turns raping her daughter at the seashore in their barangay. The suspects fled after the incident.
Police conducted a follow-up investigation after the victim's mother lodged a formal complaint. The suspects are presently detained at the Madridejos police detention cell.
Meanwhile, a 43-year-old woman lodged a complaint against a neighbor who allegedly raped her in Bogo town last July 23.
The victim, who reported to the police only the other day, said that she was alone inside their house when the suspect, Vicente Lobon, 48, entered unnoticed and raped her.
The suspect threatened the victim not to report to anybody, but the victim said she reported the incident to the police anyway. - Jose P. Sollano
