Drug suspect escapes with P500 bust money

She got away with more than just her freedom.
A suspected shabu pusher was able to escape with P500 in buy bust money during a buy-bust operation last Saturday afternoon in barangay Lutopan, Toledo City.
A team led by SPO3 Raymund Enriquez Jr. of the Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Group together with elements of 703rd Provincial Mobile Group conducted a buy-bust operation against a certain Gloria Larong.
When the civilian poseur-buyer handed the P500 marked money to the suspect, she saw Enriquez coming over to arrest her.
She immediately ran away, taking the money with her but leaving behind two companions who were arrested by the police.
The two were identified as Fernando Bascon, 34, of barangay Cantabaco and Romulo Tingga, 26, of barangay Cagangon, all in Toledo City.
Recovered from them were drug paraphernalia with traces of shabu, cellular phones and P4,060 cash.
The two men are now detained at the Naga Police Station while appropriate charges are being readied for filing in court against Larong, Bascon and Tingga. - Gregg M. Rubio
