PDEA-7 lacks men

The lack of personnel has hampered the operations of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-7 in tracking down people in the illegal drug trade, said PDEA regional director Amado Marquez recently.
With only about 20 men to cover the entire Central Visayas, the agency has been in dire need of more personnel, Marquez told DILG undersecretary Joselito Ruiz in a courtesy call.
Ruiz said he will ask regional police to assign to the PDEA-7 at least 10 new recruits from the PNP, aside from 10 others from the Bureau of Fire Protection and the Bureau of Jail Management. - Ramil V. Ayuman
