Cops ordered to look into plaints vs. frats

-
Acting city police chief Melvin Gayotin has directed the Pardo Police Station to look into the complaint of officials of the University of the Visayas Pardo Branch against youths believed to be members of fraternities.

This after school principal Zosimo Vallar wrote to Gayotin and members of the city council requesting that a policemen be assigned at the vicinity of the school to protect the students.

Pardo policemen have been directed to closely coordinate with Vallar and other school officials.

Last month, officials of Ramon Duterte National High School in barangay Basak also requested the city police office to look into the activities of alleged fratmen recruiting members.

Gayotin assured the public that they are closely monitoring the different schools in the city.

He said even if they cannot assign personnel, school officials can reach the police through the Mobile Patrol Group or the nearest police station if they need assistance. - Jose P. Sollano
