A five-minute fire, originating from a house where a woman allegedly set fire on a blanket, destroyed three houses made of light materials in barangay Poblacion Occidental, Consolacion town last Friday.
FO3 Simplicio Damaulao of the Consolacion fire sub-station told The Freeman that the fire started at 3:45 in the afternoon from a house owned by couple Nestor and Josephine Agbay. Investigators said the wife had admitted she had set fire to a blanket but her motive was still unclear.
Other nearby houses that caught fire were owned by Jesus Vidal, Serapion Alinsug, Leonardo Casul, Alfredo Valle and Prescilla Valle.
Neighboring fire stations sent their trucks to help put out the fire.
