The PNP Headquarters in Camp Crame had ordered an investigation against a Cebu City policeman for alleged illegal electrical connection in his house, and another city policeman and a tanod for allegedly protecting a drug pusher in their area of jurisdiction.
The separate complaints against these three law enforcers reached Camp Crame through the PNP Text Hotline 2920 prompting the PNP top command to have these reports investigated by the Police Regional Office-7.
PRO-7 director, C/Supt. Silverio Alarcio Jr, in turn yesterday ordered City Police acting director, Supt. Melvin Gayotin, to investigate the alleged offenses of the policemen and the tanod whose names have been withheld at the moment.
One of the complaints stated that the policeman allegedly tapped his electricity directly to the mainline of the Visayan Electric Company without any electric meter.
The other complaint pointed at another policeman and a tanod for allegedly protecting a drug pusher on Tupas Street in the city that allowed the latter an unhampered illegal business. - Gregg M. Rubio
