2 brothers fall in video karera raid

Two brothers, who were alleged maintainers of illegal video karera machines, fell to operatives of the Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Bureau in a raid of their house in sitio Mahayahay, barangay Calamba yesterday morning.
CIIB chief Paul Labra led the team that arrested suspects-the Tejares siblings, 30-year-old Rolando and his 28-year-old Jose-and confiscated two video karera machines from inside their house.
The CIIB raid came after reports reached the police that video karera operations have been rampant in the area.
Shortly after, the raid was later extended to an adjoining house, which was already abandoned but where authorities also found and seized six video karera machines.
Last week, CIIB operatives raided barangay Kamagayan and seized eight video karera machines but the caretaker similarly abandoned the place to elude arrest.
