2 brothers kill man who shot their dad

Two brothers are now being sought by the police after they hacked and shot dead a man who allegedly shot their father last Saturday evening in barangay Guinsay, Danao City.

Police said Salvador Roble Batoto, 58, a resident of the said place, and his neighbor, Religino Capua, 47, had a confrontation over past grudges.

Religino's sons, Jose Ranie and Armand, both of legal age came to the defense of their father and a fight ensued.

Both parties were armed and an exchange of gunfire followed where Salvador was hit in the left side of the abdomen and rushed to Danao City District Hospital.

The two sons ganged up on Capua and hacked and shot him until he was dead.

Capua sustained hack wounds in his neck, breast, arms and back and gunshot wounds in his abdomen and legs.

The two brothers fled after the incident while their father is still recuperating in a hospital in Cebu City after being transferred. - Gregg M. Rubio
