Barili man kills himself after quarrel with wife

A 22-year-old man was found dead hanging from a nylon rope tied to the rafter inside his house Thursday morning, or about seven hours after his wife left him behind after they had a quarrel.
Police reports reaching The FREEMAN said that Julieto Zapanta, a habal-habal driver residing at sitio Sangi in barangay Boloc-boloc, Barili town, committed suicide by hanging himself with a rope tied around his neck.
Barili policeman SPO3 Andres Alpas, who investigated the incident, said that last Thursday at around 1 a.m., Julieto and his 20-year-old wife Mercy were quarreling for still unknown reasons.
Mercy then went to the house of her aunt to sleep but when she went back home at around 8 a.m., she found her husband already dead. - Gregg M. Rubio
