Wife's 'lover' stabs hubby

After a heated argument, a man was stabbed in barangay Ibo, Lapu-Lapu City yesterday by the alleged paramour of his wife.

Felix Sobrio Torreion, 47, and presently residing in sitio Mangal, barangay Punta Engaño, Lapu-Lapu City, was stabbed by Gaspar, Panglao, 43, in the right foreman with a knife.

The suspect, also a resident of the said barangay, and jobless, is alleged to be having an illicit affair with the wife of Torreion.

Initial investigation conducted by PO3 Manolito Abellanosa and PO1 Richard Timbal of the Lapu-Lapu police homicide section revealed that the victim intentionally went to the house of the suspect to confront him.

Torreion then hit the suspect in the head with a bottle. In retaliation, the assailant grabbed a knife and stabbed the victim.

The victim was rushed to the hospital while the suspect immediately fled right after the incident. - Nancy Marie C. Dael
