Two men arrested for illegal drugs

Two men were arrested after elements of the Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Branch, the Vice Control Section and the Special Weapons and Tactics team searched four houses in barangay Lorega early yesterday morning.
Armed with a search warrant signed by Judge Meinrado Paredes police first raided the house of Alvin Bantilles in sitio Lawis, barangay Lorega. Bantilles was not around but police reported confiscating seven medium packs of shabu from his house.
From there police went to the house of Nonelito Nellas in sitio Proper Lorega, barangay Lorega, where Nellas was arrested with 18 medium packs of shabu.
The third house raided by the police was that of Fabian Rafols, who was not there when police allegedly found 14 small packs and 11 medium packs of shabu and drug paraphernalia.
The last house to be searched was that of Alfredo Hassamal in sitio Sereas, barangay Lorega. Hassamal was arrested after police found six medium packs of shabu, two hand-rolled marijuana sticks and some drug parapahernalia inside his house.
The two suspects are now detained in the city police headquarters stockade pending the filing of charges against them. - Flor Z. Perolina
