Mandaue backs programs on livelihood for women

Mandaue City Mayor Thadeo Ouano expressed unwavering support to livelihood programs for women in the city during the city's celebration of the 2006 Women's Month the other day.
In relation to the celebration, Ouano strongly condemned the exploitation and abuse of women including those working in entertainment establishments.
He encouraged all women to work and fight for their rights, and further assured Mandauehanons that there must be equal opportunity among the men and women in both private and public sectors.
