The Provincial Board is urging the Metro Cebu Water District to conduct an ocular inspection on the Jaclupan Dam in Talisay City following reports that it has leaks that endanger the lives of nearby residents.
Provincial Board Member Juan Bolo, a resident of Talisay City, said concerned residents in the city have been alarmed by reports of leaks on the dam, which is maintained by MCWD.
According to Bolo, there is a need for MCWD to look into the reports in order to ensure the safety of the residents near the dam.
Bolo further said that to prevent any untoward incident, an immediate ocular site inspection should be made on the dam.
Board Member Raul Bacaltos, also a resident of Talisay City, shared the same observation.
