Dead man found in Lahug

The body of a man believed to have been salvaged was found lying in the middle of the road in sitio Tophills, barangay Lahug, Cebu City, yesterday dawn.
The victim, who remained unidentified as of yesterday, was found by a woman who was on her way home. She alerted neighbors who immediately called the police.
When elements of the Homicide Section led by SPO2 Jay Yballe arrived at the area they found the victim lying face-up with both hands tied behind his back and head wrapped with a plastic bag bound by packaging tape.
The body was described as that of a man standing 5'3" to 5'4" tall, about middle 20s to early 30s, dressed in dark blue shorts and a colored shirt with a "pen86" infront.
He had two gunshot wounds, one on his mouth the other one in the head that caused his brains to spill onto the road.
Police also recovered five empty shells of .45 cal. pistol and three .45 cal. slugs from the scene.
Residents said before the body was discovered they saw headlights of a vehicle in the area, but they did not report hearing gunshots.
