Malaysian arrested for fondling woman

A day after an Austrian was arrested for allegedly committing acts of lasciviousness on a girl in an uptown mall, another foreigner was arrested after a woman accused him of touching her buttocks in a bar along Archbishop Reyes Street, barangay Lahug, yesterday dawn.

Kok Tan, alias Felix, 38, from Penang, Malaysia, presently billeted at the Ayala Park Tower, allegedly touched the buttocks of a woman who was waiting for her friends to finish dancing at Pump Disco Bar yesterday dawn.

The woman said Tan, who was drunk, sat beside her then grabbed her. She shouted for help and told the bar's management what had happened.

The security guard then arrested Tan who was later turned over to the Mobile Patrol Group. The police brought Tan to the Cebu City Medical Center where a test proved he was drunk.

He was then brought to the Mabolo police station where he was detained but later released after convincing the woman not to press charges against him.

Last Thursday afternoon, Werner Rachinper, 42, an Austrian was arrested after allegedly molesting a 13-year-old whom he offered to buy clothes at an uptown mall.

Rachinper reportedly felt her breasts as he chose the shirts for her, then tried to enter the fitting room while she was undressing. - Flor Z. Perolina
