The giving of awards would take place at the new Talisy City Hall, which would be preceded by a Mass. A short program would be participated by students and members of the academe from the city's private and public schools.
To receive the Mayor's Citation Awards are Danny dela Torre (Water Polo-SEA Games), Emilio Rafols (triathlon-SEAG), Gil Tabasa, Ret. Col. Leonardo Abalo, Oscar Canton, city councilor Richelle Bacaltos for being a youth leader, Lani Abarquez for her Women, Minors, and Children's advocacy, Vicente Manreal Elementary School Rondalla for excelling in music, and Cesar Cabuenas.
Recipients of the Eduardo Gullas Lifetime Awards are Regional Trial Court executive judge Simeon Dumdum, Provincial Board Member Juan Bolo, General Santos Gabison, Capitol Consultant Julian Daan, and radio broadcaster and The Freeman columnist Leo Lastimosa.
The city is preparing a special award for an individual or entity. However, the name is being withheld to hold everybody in suspense.
