3 brothers charged in neighbor's slay

Murder charges were filed yesterday against three brothers accused of killing a Talisay City resident after he had a quarrel with his wife.

Alex Carillo and his brothers Tiago and Garry, all residents of Isla Berde, San Isidro, Talisay City, allegedly killed Domingo Manolong last October 16.

Before the stabbing took place, Manolong was arguing with his common-law wife Maria Emma Ebrado and Alex approached them and advised them to stop quarreling.

But Manolong refused to heed the advice as he continued arguing with Ebrado. Alex eventually punched him and he retaliated by kicking Alex before leaving.

Later, as Ebrado was about to leave for her mother's house in Bulacao, Manolong chased her and dragged her back.

But before they reached their house, Tiago and Garry reportedly waylaid the couple and Tiago stabbed Manolong in the chest.

Although he was already wounded, Manolong still tried to run but Garry chased him with a knife and only stopped when he saw their neighbors approaching.
