Two minors cry rape

Two minors were reportedly raped on separate occasions, the first victim pointed at her employer as culprit while the other reported her friend raped her at a secluded area in barangay Tisa ,Cebu City last Thursday evening.

Bantayan Police chief Ramon Amistoso yesterday said that the mother of a 15-year-old househelp reported last Thursday of the alleged raping of her daughter by the girl's own employer identified as Anastacio Beduya alias Tingting, of legal age, married and a resident of barangay Loong, Bantayan town.

Amistoso said that the victim was only able to tell her mother of her predicament through a letter, saying Beduya threatened to kill her if she reported the incident to anybody.

The victim also mentioned in her letter that two other househelps witnessed she was raped last August, September and December.

The Bantayan Police had already instructed the girl to undergo medical examination to show proof she had been sexually abused so they can immediately work on the arrest of the suspect.

Meanwhile, another 15-year-old girl reported to tanods of barangay Labangon ,Cebu City that she was raped by a 13-year-old friend.

The girl, who is a resident of Sta. Teresita Village in barangay Tisa, Cebu City, reported the suspect dragged her to a grassy lot last Thursday night where she was allegedly sexually abused.

The boy was then picked up and was taken to the Family, Gender and Juvenile Sensitivity section of the Cebu City Police Office where he is temporarily detained, as cops wait for the parents of the victim to file charges against him. - Flor Z. Perolina and Norvie S. Misa
