Alleged robber stabbed to death

A man who allegedly had just robbed a woman of her cellular phone was found dead in barangay Basak San Nicolas yesterday with a stab wound on his abdomen and bruises on his body, head, and knees.
The man, roughly between 25 and 30 years old and measuring 5 feet and 4 inches, remained unidentified at the morgue of the Cebu City Medical Center.
Police said a certain Analyn Legaspi had gone to the Mambaling police station a few minutes before the body was discovered to report the theft of her phone while she was strolling along Natalio Bacalso Avenue. She said a man blocked her path and demanded for her 3210 Nokia phone at knifepoint.
As he began to flee, she screamed for help. She said she saw three other men join the escaping robber.
At the hospital, she recognized the body as that of the robber. The man was fair skinned, sporting khaki shorts and a green jersey marked "Brgy Buhisan No 8." - Ryan P. Borinaga
