A 16-year-old girl reported to the police that three men raped her inside the compound of a car dealership in barangay Tabok, Mandaue City, Wednesday evening.
An auntie accompanied the victim, the day after, to report the incident to the police at Station 3 in barangay Basak, Mandaue City.
Based on the testimony of the girl, the police identified the men as Adan Bonso, 22, Edwin Almollas, 23, and security guard Edgar Pacaldo, 24, all residents of barangay Tabok.
Initial investigation done by PO3 Edwin Cabrera revealed that the girl was walking along Jose P. Rizal Avenue to find a store selling cellphone load cards.
Along the way, she said she met a man-identified later as Almollas-who told her that he has companions who were selling the cellphone load she was looking for.
Almollas allegedly invited her first inside the compound of the car dealer firm but once inside, she was surprised to see there were two other men there. One of them, she said, allegedly undressed her and, shortly after, the three men allegedly took turns in raping her.
Officials of the car dealership told the police that the three have not reported to work yet, as of yesterday, but they promised to conduct a separate investigation on the incident and to coordinate with the police.
While the police are still investigating the matter, they advised the girl to submit herself to a medical examination at the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center. - Jose P. Sollano
