Korean tour guide stabs fellow guide

A Korean tour guide killed another Korean tour guide inside the flat they were renting at Pacific Grand Villa in barangay Marigondon, Lapu-Lapu City yesterday morning over missing money.

Juon Yong Gu alias Gopy stabbed Ji Yong Seok, alias Jay, 25, single, and a native of Seoul with a kitchen knife at the height of an argument.

SPO2 Rolito Jumaoas of the Homicide Section of the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office yesterday said both men were arguing over Seok's missing money shortly before Seok was stabbed.

The men's servant, Pacita Meomeo, told police that at the height of the argument Gu went to the kitchen to get a knife and then returned to stab Seok on the chest and left abdomen. Gu then left in haste, she alleged.

Seok did not reach hospital alive.

Since there was a plane leaving for Korea yesterday, the police quickly notified the Immigration people at the airport about the incident to prevent Gu from fleeing. - Flor Z.Perolina
