Body of slain man retrieved from ravine

The Talisay police yesterday retrieved the dead body of a man who a witness said was thrown into a ravine in sitio Manguilamon, barangay Jaclupan, Talisay City Sunday night.

Junrey Guillano, 21, single, and a resident of the barangay, had several stab wounds on his body and the witness said he was thrown alive into the ravine.

According to Talisay Police investigation, Guillano was seen drinking with an unidentified man. A heated altercation ensued between the two but witnesses said the other man left him alone and went somewhere else.

When Guillano was on his way home hours after the quarrel, the other man allegedly grabbed and dragged him to a nearby ravine where he was allegedly stabbed several times.

Guillano was still alive by then but the suspect allegedly flung him instead into the pit of the ravine and fled.

Talisay policemen are now conducting a manhunt operation against the suspect.
