2 robbers arrested

Police arrested the other day two men who were tagged as responsible for a series of robbery incidents in Mandaue City after an accomplice of the suspects told authorities of their whereabouts.
Arrested were Pablo Tuñacao, 23, and Sabet Manso, 20, both of barangay Guizo, Mandaue city.
One Marcel Besabella, said to be an accomplice when the two robbed a certain Joy Ecarma of barangay Guizo, identified Tuñacao and Manso.
Ecarma and a lady companion were walking along F. F. Cruz avenue in barangay Centro at about 10:40 pm last September 4 when three men blocked their way and announced a holdup.
One of the suspects identified later as Besabella, who was collared after the incident, pointed a knife at the victim and threatened to kill him and his companion if he resisted.
The robbers took the victim's mobile phone, assorted jewelry worth P6,000 and other important belongings including P300 cash inside Ecarma's wallet. Jose P. Sollano
