Man wanted for guns caught selling drugs

A man, who has a pending warrant of arrest for illegal possession of firearms, was arrested Saturday evening in sitio Ibabao, barangay Bangkal, Cordova town, after Lapu-Lapu City policemen caught him in the act of selling shabu.

Ronnelson Potot, 35, of barangay Babag, Lapu-Lapu City, was arrested by police after handing a deck of shabu to a poseur buyer in exchange for P100.

Potot had an unidentified companion who quickly escaped during the buy-bust.

The police also served Potot the arrest warrant signed by judge Jesus dela Pena last March 3.

The police seized from the suspect a motorcycle with plate number TU-9449, a small packet and a medium pack of shabu, P619 cash, a cellular phone and other drug paraphernalia.

Potot is now detained at the Lapu-Lapu Police stockade awaiting the filing of a drug case against him. - Flor Z. Perolina
