Castro to ask Tom to reverse decision on cops allowances

Cebu City assistant prosecutor Mary Ann Castro would ask Mayor Tomas Osmeña to reconsider his decision of indefinitely suspending the City Hall incentives to the six policemen who responded to her call for assistance during her altercation with brothers Jake and Nanak Yu.

"Malooy tawon ta sa maong polis, pamilyado na sila ug ang ilang City Hall incentives daku na og ikatabang kanila. Wala man sila'y sala, " Castro said. Castro also said she hasn't received her incentives when she got back her position weeks ago.

She said she could live without the incentives but she worries about the policemen.

Castro believes the mayor's decision of suspending the allowances of the six policemen came after the Yu brothers talked with Osmeña last Friday.

She said her informer at the city hall told her that the Yu brothers went to the City Hall accompanied by the members of a civic club.

The FREEMAN failed to get the mayor's reaction as he is now in Singapore and is expected to return here on Friday yet.

"Dili lang unta niya iapil ang mga polis kay igo ra man sila nga mituman sa ilang katungdanan," said Castro.

The feud between Castro and the Yu brothers erupted after the lady prosecutor parked her vehicle in front of Yu's store along Borromeo Street.

Castro claimed the front portion of her car was damaged by Yu who got mad at her for parking her vehicle in front of their store.

Because of that minor traffic incident, the Yu brothers and Castro have filed complaints with the courts and the prosecutor's office.
