September 11, 2005 | 12:00am
An alleged gang of juveniles fired upon a second year college sophomore wounding him on his left elbow yesterday dawn in barangay Mabolo.
Friends quickly took Christopher Blanco to hospital. His attackers sped away on a white Multicab.
Homicide Investigator Alex Dacua said Blanco and his friends belong to "Crips," a gang of juveniles. They suspect that their assailants were identified with rival "Bloods" gang.
Dacua said Blanco and friends had gone to Mabolo at about 3 a.m. to dine on shawarma at a junction located at the corner of Juan Luna and Cabahug Streets. Blanco and company were waiting for their orders when fired upon.
When the shooting started, they said they went every which way because it seemed no one was being targeted in particular. They said they could identify their attackers once they see them again.- Ryan P. Borinaga
