Senior Inspector Andres Intong led SWAT men in responding to a hostage-taking in barangay Pajac.

Initial investigation conducted by police disclosed that three days ago, the suspect's live-in partner Marilou Arriesgado noticed that her husband refused to talk to her. She said she would catch her husband talking to himself inside their house and banging his head on the door. "Dili na gayud masabot ang iyang gipakita nga lihok og magsige og yawyaw," Marilou told police.

When Paquibot noticed the presence of barangay tanods near his house, he grabbed his three-year-old stepson and threatened to kill him.

Responding policemen and SWAT personnel immediately negotiated with him.

An hour later, the drama was over.
