Town gets pipes for water system

The laying of pipelines for the water system in Carmen town started yesterday after Cebu Governor Gwen Garcia ordered the release of financial assistance for the project. Carmen Mayor Virginio "Benyong" Villamor has expressed his gratitude for Garcia's assistance to the town.
The other day, Villamor, Vice Mayor Al Damiles, and members of the muncipal council visited Cogon East where the installation of new pipes started.
Carmen town is considered as one of the bigger sources of water in Cebu, but residents of 8 barangays have complained about the cooperative that handles the water supply in the town. - Jose P. Sollano
