2 killed as truck hits motorcycle

Two men were killed after the motorcycle they were riding was sideswiped by a prime mover along M.C. Briones Street, barangay Tipolo, Mandaue City, last Thursday evening.
Mandaue police traffic investigators identified the victims as Vicente Apa, 61, of barangay Sangi, Lapu-Lapu City and Allan Dennis Oledan, 24, of T. Villa St., Cebu City.
The two were killed on the spot and failed to make it to the hospital alive.
Initial investigation conducted by Mandaue police traffic investigators revealed that about 8:45 p.m. last Thursday, Apa and Oledan were riding a motorcycle and turned left at M.C. Briones Street from a gasoline station.
This was when a prime mover with plate number GWE-241 driven by Judito Barrita, of barangay Mantuyong sideswiped the motorcycle.
Barrita surrendered to the police after the incident. - Jose P. Sollano
