A man who was riding a multicab was shot dead by two men onboard a motorcycle along Sabellano Street, barangay Quiot last night.
The victim, later identified by friends as Romeo Allera, was reportedly clinging on to a multicab bound for Punta Princesa when he was killed, according to city police Homicide Section investigator Zenaido Pastorfide Jr.
Reports said when Allera was about to alight from the multicab, two men on a motorcycle fired at him. Aside from several gunshot wounds in the head, Allera also sustained wounds in his back, left arm, and left knee.
Reports said that Allera was an ex-convict, but Pastorfide refused to confirm it, only saying that he still has to check with the Bagong Buhay Rehabilitation Center. The victim had a "Q2" tattoo on his chest. - Ryan P. Borinaga
