Talisay awards city's top 10 establishments

The Talisay City government yesterday commended the top 10 business establishments in the city for their invaluable contributions to its revenue generation program.
The establishments were each given the certificate of appreciation during a simple program last night dubbed as "An Evening with the City's Partners in Development" at the People's Hall of the City Hall. Mayor Socrates Fernandez and City administrator Aurora Econg led the giving of the certificates.
There are at least 822 commercial establishments in the city with the Gaisano Fiesta Mall, the biggest shopping center in the City, tops list of the firms with the biggest taxes to the city.
Following Gaisano Fiesta Mall on the list were Ricor Mills Corporation, Casa Cebuana Incorporada, WT Construction, Mercury Drug Corporation, Cebu Suntech Manufacturing Corporation, Adrian Designs, Ngosiok, Carlos/Citifood Industries, Freemont Foods Corporation-Jollibee and Sirlitz Consumer Electronic Corporation.
Talisay has been topping other cities in the region in real property and business tax collections for the second consecutive year now by the Bureau of Local Government Finance. - Garry B. Lao
