Ex-brgy treasurer nabbed for drugs

A former barangay treasurer of Daantabogon in Tabogon town and a neighbor were arrested last Tuesday morning during a raid conducted by the Tabogon police for alleged illegal drug trade.

Susana Inojales, 46, married, and a former barangay treasurer of barangay Daantabogon and neighbor Dioscoro Bascos, 55, married, also a resident of the place were arrested during separate raids conducted by the Tabogon police after a search warrant was signed by Judge Antonio Marigomen against the two suspects. Tabogon police chief Wilfredo Giducos yesterday said that both suspects were placed under a two-month surveillance.

During the raid, police seized 33 small packs of shabu inside Inojales' house and money amounting to P500.

At the house of Bascos, police seized six small packs of shabu and P5,540. Both suspects are now detained at the Tabogon police station. - Flor Z. Perolina
