A couple suspected of peddling drugs in barangay Cambuntan in Carcar town and who had been eluding the police for six years now were arrested Tuesday night during a raid on their home.
Roel Alegarbis, 30, and his wife Lyndsay, 27, were arrested by a team led by SPO1 Erasmo Russel of the Carcar police. Shabu was seized from them.
The couple soon disappeared after Judge Isaias Dicdican issued an arrest warrant against them in 1999 for the drugs found in their house. Recently, the couple returned to Cambuntan and started to peddle drugs again.
The suspects, now detained at the Carcar police station, have already been charged.
