Man hacks neighbor for killing his pa

A man hacked his neighbor to death when he learned that the latter killed his father last Tuesday evening in barangay Cogon, Dumanjug town.

Twenty-two-year-old Allen Segovia hacked to death his neighbor, Estrello Maquiputen, 25, single and a resident of the place.

Based on the investigation conducted by the Dumanjug Police, the suspect's father, Anacleto Segovia, was drinking last Tuesday with some neighbors in their front yard in celebration of his 41st birthday.

But brought about reportedly by drunkenness, an altercation ensued between Maquiputen and the father of the suspect.

The verbal tussle ended up when Maquiputen took a piece of wood and hit the back portion of Anacleto's head that caused his instantaneous death.

Upon learning of his father's death, Allen took a bolo and hacked Maquiputen in the different parts of his body.

The suspect then surrendered to the responding policemen, while his father's body and that of Maquiputen were brought to a funeral parlor in Ronda town.
