Kin ID body found near Mactan bridge

The man who was found dead near the Mandaue-Mactan Bridge in barangay Pajo, Lapu-Lapu City last Sunday evening was identified by relatives at a local funeral parlor yesterday morning.
Lapu-Lapu police homicide investigator identified the man as one Manuel Miro, 20, of barangay Kamagayan, Cebu City. He was allegedly a pimp operating in the barangay.
According to Homicide investigator SPO2 Julito Jumao-as, Miro's wife visited the Cebu Rolling Hills Funeral parlor in barangay Banilad after hearing reports that a body of a man was discovered near the Mandaue-Mactan bridge.
The victim was last seen by a friend talking with two men in barangay Kamagayan.
Minutes later, the two men forced Miro into a taxi.
The dead body of Miro was discovered by a security guard of the nearby National Transmission Company.
Police said that Miro's hands had gunpowder burns and police suspect that he could have tried to defend himself against his assailants. The police are trying to establish the motive of the killing and the identity of his killers.
