First Anniversary fashion Show
The new recently celebrated its first anniversary A fashion show titled “Panlantaw – Seamlessly Weaving Then and Now” marked the first anniversary of Seda Ayala Center Cebu at the hotel’s newly renovated Sampaguita ballroom.
Since its opening in August 2018, Seda’s first property in the Queen City of the South has steadily grown to become one of the key market leaders among city hotels in Cebu. Taking its name from the word “silk,” Seda strategically weaves world class amenities and modern conveniences drawing from genuine Filipino hospitality to create meaningful memories and seamless experiences.
Last August 20, staying true to its Filipino roots, in Modern Filipiniana theme Seda Ayala Center Cebu commemorated its first year of operations with “Panlantaw,” a Visayan word with different meanings: to look back, to see or to envision. It was the perfect time to reminisce and cherish the property’s year-long memories with all its associates, guests, business partners, and patrons.
The anniversary event was graced by some notable personalities, like the president and CEO of AyalaLand Hotels and Resort Corporation, Michael Alexis Legaspi. The company’s executive committee was also in full support. Andrea Mastellone – Seda Hotel’s Senior Group General Manager, and Engr. Efren Rodrigo – Group Director of Engineering of the AyalaLand Hotels and Resorts Corporation were among the attendees alongside Seda Ayala Center Cebu general manager Gwen de la Cruz.
Guests were in awe at the fashion show featuring the modern terno collection of internationally acclaimed Cebuano designer, Philip Rodriguez. Taking his inspiration from the silk scarf or “manton de Manila,” the collaboration perfectly encapsulated both Rodriguez’s flair for timeless elegance and Seda’s commitment to seamless service excellence.
The entire evening proved to be entertaining with performances from the UC Dance Troupe, Sinulog Idol 2012 grand winner Ms. Jacky Chang, and homegrown advocates for Cebuano music, the Wonggoys.
