Farewell Dinner for OPSMILE Volunteers

Mariquita Salimbangon Yeung, Chairman of the MSY Foundation, and hubby Carlos, hosted a big farewell party for all the volunteers of the Operation Smile Cebu Mission last Friday evening at their beautiful home in Nivel Hills, Lahug. Special guest during this affair was Dr. Bill Magee, founder of Operation Smile International who came all the way from Virginia, USA.

Heading the list of surgeons during the mission and who attended the affair was Dr. James Joaquino, a well-known plastic surgeon in the big city with Dr. Willy Go, head of the anesthesiologists group.

The Operation Smile mission in Cebu ran from February 16 to 22, with 134 patients operated on for cleft lips, 40 obturators were given for clearer speech, and obturators for older patients who could not be operated on for their cleft palate.

At any rate, Operation Smile Mission Cebu will be back next February 2020… God willing!
